How Boris Nemtsov is being remembered in Russia and across Europe. A photo series

On Sunday, March 1, many of the biggest cities across Russia and Europe witnessed vigils in honor of Russian opposition figure Boris Nemtsov, who was shot and killed on Friday, February 27. In Moscow, a large crowd marched through the city center; in St. Petersburg, there was a vigil and a small rally; in other Russian cities, demonstrators picketed individually; and in cities throughout Europe, mourners brought flowers to Russia’s embassies.
