Anna Popova, the head of Russia’s public health authority, Rospotrebnadzor, has presented a three-step plan for the gradual easing of quarantine restrictions.
The first step will supposedly allow people to take part in outdoor sports. The second stage will allow families to go for walks, some businesses to reopen (including some “public eateries”), and classes to resume at educational institutions. The third step will allow all stores and restaurants to open their doors.
However, regional leaders will be responsible for making decisions about lifting restrictions based on several indicators, including the number of coronavirus cases in the region, the capacity of local hospitals, and the extent of local testing coverage.
