The European Parliament called for sanctions against Azerbaijan

The European Parliament adopted two resolutions on foreign policy and security. He called on the European Union to impose sanctions against Azerbaijan and suspend purchases of Azerbaijani oil and gas.

The memorandum indicates the need to impose sanctions against the political and military leadership of Azerbaijan and suspend energy imports in the event of any military aggression against Armenia. The deputies also called for strengthening the mandate of the EU mission in Armenia, increasing its size, extending its validity, and placing observers on the border with Turkey.

At the moment, the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia is being discussed in Berlin by the foreign ministers of both countries. The goal is to prepare for the signing of a peace treaty.
