Ingushetia, Chechnya and Dagestan are recognized as the least debt-ridden regions

Three regions of the North Caucasian Federal District are among the leaders in terms of the least debt burden of the population. RIA Novosti provided data on bank loans for the period from February 1, 2023 to February 1, 2024.

The least debt-ridden population is in Ingushetia: the ratio of average per capita loan debt to annual salary in the republic is 14.9%. In second place is Crimea (29.5%), in third is Chechnya (30.1%), in fourth is Dagestan (30.7%).

North Ossetia turned out to be the most heavily indebted region of the North Caucasus Federal District, ranking 74th with a high debt burden of 78.1%. In 65th place is the Karachay-Cherkess Republic (73.6%), in 55th place is Stavropol Territory (68.9%), and in 12th place is Kabardino-Balkaria (50.7%).

In general, in Russia the volume of debt increased by 23.5% (by 6.4 trillion rubles) and amounted to 33 trillion rubles.
