EDITOR'S INRODUCTION

Our new issue came out later than we had expected. But, in any case, we are together again. Quite a bit has happened in these months -- a world conference in the Hague on the problems of community settling and development, women's meetings in various countries, and preparations are now being made for an international symposium in Delhi on the role of women in politics. Finally, the day of solidarity of working women came on the 8th of March. This issue, as we had already announced, is dedicated to global problems of women and to the influence of globalization on the status of women. We hope you will also be interested in the voices of men who have joined the discussion. Our regular "journal within a journal" is dedicated to the women of Armenia. We thank everyone who has responded to past issues of the magazine, and we hope that our collaboration with the representatives of diverse groups and movements in Russia, the USA and other countries will continue.
