Let's admit it, we don't often pay one another compliments. We even forget to say thank you -- no time or we put it off. I propose using the magazine to thank each other for good deeds and warm words and I want to do this now. I picked up the last issue of the magazine at a moment when nothing was going right and everything seemed gloomy. I read Colette's article and the following pieces (on women's health and ways to make the best of getting older -- editor) and I forgot about my miseries. Thank you, Colette, for lifting me out of depression. To Galina Grishina I say thanks for creating a web page devoted to our summer school. I want also to thank Ludmilla Proskuryakova from Norilsk -- we saw each other only at the two forums of independent women's groups in the early '90's, and since then she has never tired of phoning and telling me about her initiatives, her activities and concerns. Thanks to all of you. Zoya Khotkina, Moscow Center for Gender Studies and director of the summer school program women's and gender studies.
Dear Editors! Your crossword puzzle made an altogether good impression. At times I really had to rack my brains. And it was useful -- turns out there's a lot I don't know about women, in spite of living with my wife for 30 years. It was she who brought the magazine to me. Your coverage of women's health problems here and in America is very realistic. We need more such coverage and publications and not puffed up advertisements on the dinnertime TV. And by the way, it would be interesting to read about men's health and how we differ from American men. V. Kurnin
