Dear Editors,

Thanks you for the magazines, which we receive regularly and hope this will continue, as they are read with great interest in the Uzbek NGOs. As a resource center, we acquaint readers with the most recent issues of your magazine and send them to our organizational partners in other cities, along with our own materials, which we will also send to you.

Right now it is a big problem getting literature in Russian - what is available in Tashkent is either expensive or approaching "tabloid journalism." We would be very grateful if you or your colleagues would send us literature in Russian about women and the women's movement in Russia. That way we could have an exchange.

Respected Editors,

I would like you to think more about the forthcoming editions of your "Journal within a Journal." I write you as a teacher who includes in her curriculum materials about the women's movement in various countries and a program of special courses for students. I am a long-time reader of your magazine, and the first editions of the "Journal within a Journal" pleased and gave me a lot of fresh information.

But then I observed that it was at times rather hard to single out the essence for my lessons. The journals do not all conform to a common structure and it would be useful if they did. I understand that national and regional characteristics differ and cannot be brought into full uniformity. Still I would like to see more of a defined structure.

Secondly and no less important, in your magazine articles overall there is a lot of general and very important information, and portraits of people well-known and rank and file. But there is little direct information about the mechanisms of women's success in practical matters. Why is it these particular women's organizations that achieved success and not others, in the Saratov region, on the Kola Peninsula and elsewhere? What is the secret of their emerging at the rostrum? Was it by accident, a coincidence and the support of the powers that be? So far I haven't gotten an answer to these questions, and I really would like one.
