The Institute of Consultants in our biathlon team appeared on May 31, 2010. Then the Board of the Union of Biathlonists of Russia approved four consultants for the 2010/11 season: they were the Olympic champions Galina Kuklev and Sergey Chepikov, Vladimir Drachev, as well as the legendary Norwegian skier Thomas Alsgard, who was soon replaced by the former coach of the Norwegian Norwegian Knutlon, Tore Berland.
The current leadership came to the Russian biathlon after a grand doping scandal. Moreover, there was a feeling that Mikhail Prokhorov was appointed head of the Union of Biathlonists of Russia so that he would use money and connections in order to fight off the new doping scandals. But it seems that in CSKA it went only thanks to Prokhorov and Kushchenko’s personal love to basketball. Biathlon turned out to be a purely managerial task for them, which they solve without a soul, on the principles of cynicism, the desire to evade the responsibility and purpose of the switchmen. Our athletes exist exactly in the same atmosphere as the largest state corporations, the party in the authorities, where some bureaucrats with parties are constantly gnawing with others - for money, and not for ideals. It is the atmosphere of rotteniness, stupidity and corruption (not only material, it is also total corruption of values, the very meaning of existence in Russia) gives rise to the growth of emigrant sentiments among thinking people who want to realize themselves and their children.
In general, the very fact of the presence of the ruling tandem and the extreme opacity of the distribution of power automatically gives rise to a divorce system. One of the two members of the tandem categorically does not want to give power, the other does not want or cannot take it, while each has the closest environment, which is trying to preserve and increase the impact on their “patron” rates. Moreover, in comparison with biathlon and in general with sports, this management system in other areas has undeniable advantages - the lack of unambiguous criteria of the result. In the biathlon, everything is simple: there are no victories and medals - it means that the team has failed. In Russian politics, especially at such world oil prices, the failure of many "viewers" (in the position of a meaningless public, deprived of a chance of participating in the full development of the country due to its own realization, almost all of its population is located) is not so obvious. If you live your whole life in a stinking swamp, it begins to seem that other environmental systems simply do not exist.

For the atmosphere in any team, bosses personally are responsible. In Russia, since Soviet times, the authorities have used to attribute sports victories to itself. But it creates all the conditions so that any victory does not come to us thanks to, but contrary to the atmosphere in which Russia has been rotting for the second ten years.

Well, the behavior of the guys simply does not fit into any framework.

And she-with such an opinion that she gave us something. If she does not feel weak, she should stay and win the world championship medal next year. And it is better to win a large crystal globe, and only then triumphantly end a career. If Olya leaves now, I think then it will be reproached, because they will remember the failure end of her career for a long time.
It would seem that everything in our biathlon should be good. Mikhail Prokhorov came, Sergey Kushchenko came. But you quickly get used to the good: everything is very beautiful for us, very much. You do not want us to judge you - so work these conditions. Athletes do not need anything. But they have already stopped setting the highest goals. It is believed that they train in the team, well, good. All the money invested in the team did not give a big plus. I think Prokhorov understands all this perfectly, and now financial injections will be somehow filtered. Although, perhaps, he asks from them. Money is invested - it is necessary to work out.
I think it is necessary to prohibit the athletes with individual training. Now someone and dad are doing, someone with a coach, someone found a sponsor of a coach. There must be a single composition, a single team, a single preparation plan. And you need to ask from everyone the same. And since you, as Sveptsova said, owes anyone to anyone, so sit at home, take care of magazines, get married, give birth to children. Then you will not owe anyone to anyone. And here the state is behind you. With all due respect to our athletes: they do not have the right to say such things. We, as those who play for the national team of our country, must and owe. Fans are following us, they consider us the best, and we need to ask us in full.

Thanks to them, however, at least for saying: neither Vladimir Barnashov, nor Anatoly Khovantsev, nor Mikhail Tkachenko hid from reporters, no matter what forks they were indulging in their professional wounds. If the coaches were also silent, the plot would definitely flow into terry surrealism.
But medals are not won by interviews - athletes. And the athletes, who repeated the zero achievement of the same 1995 here. Toward the end of the championship, when Mikhail Prokhorov arrived in Khanty-Mansiysk, it opened to us: the Russian biathlon, along with the fans, crushed a long-term large-scale experiment. It’s better late than never, and yet it is a pity that neither Prokhorov nor the coaches of the national team who kept this secret so tightly and played their role so divinely, as if they themselves did not know about any experiment, before.
Very gloomy for us news, not counting the speech of the national team, were the circumstances of the resignation of Khvantsev. It’s not about herself: it is unlikely that there was at least one person in the team and its environs who did not understand how this season would end for the female coach. The point is the impetuishes and the anger of the decision itself. The fact that based on the results suggested for a long time was committed not before, not after, but during the championship and even the race.
And several tops staggered at once. The removal did not coincide with the analytically verified moment, but with the peak of personal discontent of the President of the SBR Mikhail Prokhorov - in my opinion, this is obvious. One failure stage + the other is the same = dismissal of the coach. How then are the produced collegiality of decisions? Did the head of the SBR manage to consult with members of the board, did they recognize their opinion?
From the team of strong managers who came to the Russian biathlon, many were waiting for the implementation of their strongest quality - deep managerial systematicity. And I'm not going to say that I did not wait. The construction of the system goes and, I suspect, will continue, no matter how strange the first results may seem. But what is Systemic in such a dismissal of Khovantsev?
In each of us, a fan can prevail from time to time. But this does not join very well with the theory of general sequence. What should the rest of the system screw screws think? What will happen to everyone when another thunderstorm happens?
