Alexandr Misko, a high school senior from Krasnodar, has attracted more than half a million views on YouTube with a video of himself playing guitar and percussion simultaneously. With his right hand, he uses tapping to play guitar notes; with his left hand, he beats a rhythm on his bedside table, holding a guitar pick, which he uses to strum occasional chords.

Musicians commenting on YouTube and the Internet forum Yaplakal.com generally agree Misko’s video is authentic, though some suspect he may have edited the audio after recording, to improve its quality.
