Ukrainian company develops software that can hire and fire people automatically

The Ukrainian development company WebProduction, which designed the customer relationship management (CRM) software OneBox, has announced a new product that automatically hires and fires employees.
WebProduction says its hiring-and-firing software crunches key performance indicators (KPIs) to determine an individual’s future at a particular business. If employees systematically fail to meet their obligations, they receive a message notifying them of their dismissal, instructing them to speak to a supervisor about finalizing their termination.
The development company says an employee needs to work for three months to build up an archive of KPI data, before the software can effectively monitor someone’s work.
WebProduction says it has already automated its own firing decisions, though the software has yet to end anyone’s employment there. The company believes such automation can expedite personnel decisions at large businesses, such as call centers, where five or more employees are typically fired every month.
The software is also capable of hiring staff, as well. WebProduction says its last nine employees were hired automatically.
“[CRM] posted the vacancy itself, posted an assignment, checked it, extended an employment offer, and granted access to a company email account,” WebProduction says.
