Random passerby miraculously catches a 6-year-old girl who fell 4 stories from an open window

A six-year-old girl fell from a four-story window this morning in the city of Tyumen (about 1,500 miles east of Moscow) and was caught by a random passerby. The girl was staying at the apartment of her grandmother, who left her alone while she went out to the store. When the child awoke from her nap, she reportedly opened the window and began calling for her grandmother. This is when she lost her balance and plummeted to the street, where—incredibly—she was caught by a man passing by.

The girl was rushed to the hospital, where doctors confirmed that she was uninjured. The man who saved her was also unharmed in the incident. Police have opened an investigation into negligence on the part of the grandmother.
