A passenger aboard a Moscow bus recently punctured the floor of the vehicle, due to a combination of the bus' wet floors and the individual's weight, which is said to have exceeded 100 kilograms (220 pounds).

According to the head of Mosgortrans, which operates Moscow's buses, the passenger boarded the bus with a cart. When he leaned against the cart while riding the bus, it punctured the floor and "left a hole." The passenger reportedly approached the driver afterwards and said, "I'm sorry, but I accidentally punched a hole in the floor."

According to Mosgortrans, buses undergo regular cleanings, which sometimes deposit water in the vehicles' floors, which can weaken the wood-laminate.

This is the first instance of a passenger puncturing the floor of a Moscow bus in such a manner, and the damaged bus is already being repaired.
