Chechen police detain 3 journalists, including a foreign reporter, on suspicion of funding armed militants
Chechen police briefly detained three journalists today, according a report by the independent television network Dozhd. Law enforcement grabbed camera operator Olga Pavlova, freelance photographer Konstantin Solomatin, and Finnish journalist Ina Tatika, according to Kheda Saratova, a local human rights worker.
Saratova said there are unconfirmed reports that Chechen police suspect the three reporters of coming to Grozny in order to transfer money to armed militants.
