English edition of the book "Criminal Law on Hate Crime, Incitement to Hatred and Hate Speech in OSCE Participating States" released

Sova Center publishes the English version of Alexander Verkhovsky’s study entitled "Criminal Law on Hate Crime, Incitement to Hatred and Hate Speech in OSCE Participating States." The book is a comparative analysis of laws on hate crime, hate speech and related matters in all 57 OSCE participating states. The book includes an extensive annex that will familiarize readers with various national legislations. It also elucidates the differences between the concepts of hate crimes, public incitement to hatred and hate speech.

The book was published in cooperation with Netherlands Helsinki Committee.
Original Russian version was published by Sova Center. The book owes its English translation to Ilya Danshyn; editing was done by Karen Olson; the book was released with the support by OSCE ODIHR. Sources:
