Head of Russia's Central Election Commission says United Russia's Saratov results taken out of context

The head of Russia's Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova commented on the post of electoral geography expert Alexander Kireev, who called attention to the fact that Sunday's election results from polling stations in the Saratov Region reveal "coincidences" that are suggestive of ballot stuffing.

According to Panfilova, Saratov's results were "taken out of context" by the media.

"Anything can be taken out of context. I, as a former electrical engineer, can make the most far-reaching conclusions for you based on quantum physics or mathematics, [make a mountain out of absolutely any mole hill]," she said.

Pamfilova also said that the story about potential ballot stuffing in the Saratov Region is insignificant compared to more serious issues that the Central Election Commission encountered on election say, issues such as "illegal campaigning" and "the use of administrative resources".

According to Slon.ru, there were more than 100 such instances in the Saratov Region.
• Kireev assumed that the elections were rigged in order to ensure a United Russia's victory.
