Russian official accused Elon Musk of stealing electricity
The mayor of Novokuznetsk in eastern Russia became furious with a fellow citizen who illegally used city’s grid to charge an electric car.
Sergey Kuznetsov, city’s mayor, even expressed his frustration on Instagram promising to bring “Elon Musk” to justice. Hours later Kuznetsov deleted his charged post.
“So progress has reached us in the form of a second-hand electric car”, Novokuznetsk mayor wrote on Instagram. “Rather not us, but our grid. That's how they will devour our resources, creatures from the future! But the creatures of the present will have to answer for the theft of electricity. I am sure it will not be difficult to find this Elon Musk.”
