Russians want Leo DiCaprio to save Lake Baikal

Residents of Buryatia in eastern Russia decided to draw the attention of Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio to the problem of pollution of Lake Baikal by flooding his Instagram page with comments.

“We have to voice the problems of Lake Baikal on a global scale,” the author of the popular Instagram account All Ulan-Ude wrote. “Let's all write Leonardo DiCaprio about the problems of Lake Baikal. He is a famous enviromentalist and media personality. Countrymen, let's support! Baikal is our everything!”

This spurred tons of comments on the DiCaprio page calling for attention to the lake pollution. "Leo, we worship you, help us save Baikal," one user wrote. "I know you can help, you're unsinkable," another one added.
