Russia bans Ben Stiller, Sean Penn, 23 more US nationals from entering the country
Russia’s Foreign Ministry has banned 25 US nationals from entering the country, the full list being published on the ministry’s website.
“The hostile actions US authorities are performing against Russia destroy bilateral connections and fuel tensions between us. Such actions will trigger backlash in the future, too,” reads the ministry’s statement.
Here are the notable entrants to the list of US citizens who are not allowed to enter Russia:
-
Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo
-
Open Society Foundations executive director Tom Perriello
-
Founder and chairman of the Central Asia-Caucasus Institute Stephen Frederick Starr
-
Ben Stiller, an actor
-
Sean Penn, an actor.
The full list now has 1073 entries. Russia banned Joe Biden’s family and political scientist Francis Fukuyama earlier.
