Kherson region’s pro-Russian ‘head’ Volodymyr Saldo back to work after hospitalisation

Volodymyr Saldo, Russia-appointed “head” of Ukraine's Kherson region, has returned to his duties after having been hospitalised, reports his official Telegram channel.

“Starting from 19 September 2022, Volodymyr Saldo has been at his workplace and has returned to his duties as head of the Administration of the Kherson region. Serhiy Eliseev has relinquished his post as acting head of the Administration and gone back to his post of chairman of the region’s Government,” the message states.

On 12 September, Saldo recorded a video message, in which he talked to the residents of the Kherson region for the first time since his hospitalisation. In the video, he claimed that he had not been online for some time “due to having been in the doctors’ care”.

At the beginning of August, Saldo said that he had been hospitalised. Later on, it was reported that he had been transferred to Moscow for treatment and put in a medically induced coma.
