The Beet: A new email dispatch from Meduza

Welcome to The Beet, Meduza’s special newsletter focused on Central and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. Every week, we deliver one feature story you won’t find anywhere else. Our job is to cover society, politics, and culture in these often-underreported regions, without centering Moscow, the “West,” or the latest news.

Featuring original reporting and deep analysis, this email dispatch is the perfect supplement to Meduza’s day-to-day coverage. We strive to dig deeper, amplify local perspectives, and tell interesting stories that might otherwise be overlooked.

Subscribe to The Beet and get the Meduza you’ve been missing, direct to your inbox.
