Russia will soon set up a draft office at a border checkpoint in the Astrakhan region where a huge line of cars leaving for Kazakhstan has been up for days.

Echo of Moscow, a radio station closed in early March by Russia’s authorities, will be re-established as Echo. It is going to become publicly available on Monday, 3 October.

An anti-war raly took place today in Tuva, one of Russia's poorest regions. The police detained protesting women in a brutal manner, including a woman with a baby in a pram.

Russia’s mobilised men, should they be killed in action or become disabled, will have all their loan debts made null and void, a governmental website claims.

Meanwhile, Russia is also issuing draft cards to HIV-positive men despite the fact that the same governmental website said earlier they would be exempt from mobilisation.
