Moscow activist Yegorov beaten up upon detention
Vladimir Yegorov, a coordinator for Golos, an election monitor, was beaten up upon detention by police, OVD-Info reports.
Yegorov has told his lawyer that he was punched in the ribs. He was also threatened with criminal charges for refusing to give up his phone.
Yegorov was detained after a search was conducted in Golos’s office in Moscow. The police called an ambulance for him. He is facing charges for failing to obey a police officer.
Mikhail Gusev from Ivanovo is a political activist and a member of Golos. He was charged with “discrediting the Russian army” recently, and a search was made in the organisation’s office due to his charges.
