Russia says one reporter killed, 10 injured in Ukraine’s strike on Kherson
One reporter was killed, ten more were injured in Ukraine’s strike on the crossing over the Dnieper River in Kherson, Alexander Malkevich, a member of Russia’s Civic Chamber, said.
Oleg Klokov, a reporter who came to Kherson to work for the Tavria channel (a TV channel set up by the occupation government), was killed in the strike, Russia-appointed deputy chief of the “military city administration” of Kherson Ekaterina Gubareva said. Previously, Klokov worked for Moscow 24, RT, Channel One and other TV channels, Gubareva noted.
For their part, the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that they had struck the Antonivka Bridge, however, they deny that there were civilians on it, Natalya Gumenyuk, head of the United Coordination Press Centre of the Southern Defence Forces of Ukraine, reported.
“The occupants themselves say that there can be no civilians on the bridge at this time, because there is a curfew, and there are strict measures against those who violate it. There were no civilians,” she said.
Earlier today, the occupation “government” of the Kherson region stated that Ukraine had struck the crossing over the Dnieper River in Kherson with HIMARS multiple rocket launchers. Kirill Stremousov, deputy head of the occupation “government” of the region, reported that four people had been killed in the attack. “I know of four casualties. One woman and three men. One of them was discovered this morning,” he said.
