Ukraine Ombudsman: 150 Ukrainian captives held in Olenivka prison

A total of 150 Ukrainian captives are being held in a prison in Olenivka, the Donetsk region, Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, has told Radio Free Europe.

He says not all captives are servicemembers, adding that there is no access to the colony as of yet.

Russia and Ukraine swapped 50 POWs each last week, confirmed by both sides. Ukraine’s returnees included former Olenivka prison captives and Azovstal defenders, as per Andriy Yermak, the head of President Zelensky’s Administration.

Russia reported returning 60 Russian servicemen this week, although Ukraine did not comment on that swap.
