Local authorities: Russian attack kills man, child in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia

A man and a child born in 2012 have been killed in a Russian attack on residential houses in Zaporizhzhia, southern Ukraine, local official Anatoly Kurtev reported.

According to him, the child died in an ambulance. One woman was rushed to hospital, another person was treated at the site. In total, three people lived in the house that was struck by a Russian missile.

The affected street is now cut off from the gas and electricity supply. Windows and rooftops of neighbouring houses are damaged.

On 22 March, a nine-storey residential building in Zaporizhzhia was shelled. One person was killed, 32 more were injured.

In the early hours of 3 March, the Russian army fired a missile that struck a five-storey apartment block in Zaporizhzhia, killing 13 people, including an 8-month-old baby. The attack destroyed the third, fourth, and fifth floors of the building.
