Death toll of Sloviansk residential block attack rises to 13

The death toll of the attack on a residential building in Ukraine’s Sloviansk has risen to 12, Ukraine’s Emergency Service reports.

19:00 UTC+3 The death toll has risen to 13; 22 people were injured in the atttack, Ukraine’s Emergency Service says in an update.

The rescue operation is still ongoing. Ukraine’s National Police believe three more people might be under the rubble.

A total of 22 people have been reported injured so far.

The Donetsk region governor Pavlo Kyrylenko said on Friday that eight people had been killed and 21 injured in the attack, including a 2-year-old child.

The Russian missiles hit three five-storey buildings, two of which then caught fire, Yermak wrote. Several neighbouring buildings were also damaged. Kyrylenko reported that a school had also been hit.
