Belgorod region: two women killed, two men in critical condition following shelling

Several settlements of the Belgorod region of Russia have been shelled by Ukraine’s Armed Forces at once, the head of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov reports.

According to him, Ukraine’s forces shelled a part of the road in the Maslova Pristan village, Shebekino district. “Shell fragments hit the cars driving by. Two women were in one of those cars, they died instantly from their injuries,” the governor says.

There are two injured in the second car: one man has a shrapnel wound in his chest, the second shrapnel wounds in his legs. They were hospitalised in critical condition.

Gladkov claims that 11 shells were launched from cannon artillery on the Tishanka village. There were no casualties, however windows were shattered in two private buildings; the central gas pipeline and power line were also damaged.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that two drones had attacked energy infrastructure facilities in the Smolensk region of Russia. The head of the Kursk region says that air defence destroyed “several Ukrainian drones” near the city of Kursk during the night.

The governor of the Bryansk region reports that the region was shelled twice from the direction of Ukraine this morning. Furthermore, the head of the Kaluga region says that an “unidentified object” had crashed in the woods of the region, leading to an explosion.
