A Crimean Tatar political prisoner was transferred to a prison hospital due to multiple illnesses

Crimean Tatar political prisoner Abdukakhor Muminjanov, sentenced to 17 years in prison, was transferred from the colony to prison hospital No. 3 of Mordovia. Previously, he was repeatedly placed in a punishment cell.

Abdukakhor Muminjanov was diagnosed with hypertension, epilepsy, problems with the heart, joints and vision. According to his wife, in Mordovian IK-17 he was not exempted from work and inspections and was threatened with a punishment cell, despite the deterioration of his condition: the man’s left side of his body began to go numb and his tooth ached.

In February 2020, Abdukakhor Muminjanov was sentenced to seventeen years in a maximum security colony on charges of involvement in the activities of the Hizb ut-Tahrir party. He has been in custody since March 14, 2017.
