A participant in the riots at Makhachkala airport was accused of attempting to kill a policeman

At least the second participant in the riots at the Makhachkala airport was accused of encroaching on the life of a law enforcement officer (Article 317 of the Criminal Code). Punishment under this article implies from 12 to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.

In total, more than 130 people are in pre-trial detention center in connection with this case. Most of them are charged with participation in mass riots (Part 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code). Also, the courts received over 800 protocols under articles on violation of the rules for holding rallies and organizing mass simultaneous presence of citizens (20.2 and 20.2.2 of the Administrative Code).

On October 29, residents of Dagestan stormed the Makhachkala airport demanding that passengers on a flight from Tel Aviv not be allowed into the city. The action took place within the framework of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
