Ukrainian intelligence claims responsibility for blowing up oil pipeline in Moscow Region

The 400-kilometer-long Koltsevoy pipeline transported fuel from the Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod, and Moscow oil refineries. According to the HUR, it was capable of pumping up to 3 million tons of jet fuel, 2.8 million tons of diesel, and 1.6 million tons of gasoline annually.

HUR director Lt. Gen. Kyrylo Budanov commented on the operation, saying, “In reality, our strikes have had more impact than sanctions. That’s a mathematical fact. Our direct action has inflicted far greater damage on Russia than any economic levers that have been put in place so far.”
