Dear editors!
I am very glad that it is wide, a patriotic wave in our society is growing. Only I wrote about a wonderful initiative to introduce military training in universities - and already heard that they would soon introduce a new course of Russian history, intended for students of non -surrounding specialties. According to the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education and Science, Konstantin Mogilevsky, an updated Russian history course for students of non -surrounding specialties (“The whole course is centered by the history of Russian statehood”) will be introduced in Russian universities from September 1 of the current year.
Amazing! I support it very much. And not at all because at one time, having entered the university, he studied the history of the CPSU. It's different. You look at modern youth-she knows little about history, just some Ivanes who do not remember kinship! And historical illiteracy is not a joke at all! This is suitable soil so that our enemies, the Ukrainian regime and its Western owners, introduce false historical representations and ideas alien to our spirit into the heads. For example, in order for our citizens to begin to perceive Russia with a fierce horde with harsh power, which oppressed all the surrounding peoples and behaved like Spanish conquistadors and English colonialists.
Yes, a native of Georgia Dzhugashvili, heading the USSR, oppressed Georgia, and a native of Ukraine Brezhnev pressed and strangled Ukraine, we know and know. True, I don’t remember something of the Indians and Nigerians who ruled the British Empire during colonialism. And if in Wild Russia in the first half of the 19th century the death penalty was a rarity, then in the advanced England for the court to bear the death sentence at this time, as they say, just spit. But hypocritical Anglo -Saxons are profitable to turn everything upside down and promote their vision of wildness and progressiveness in the information space. And for the Kyiv nationalists there are no barriers at all: with the globe of Ukraine in their hands they sing about the many thousand -year -old Ukrainian civilization, which the Russian horde fiercely tried to destroy. This information aggression needs to be opposed!
Therefore, it is very cool that, along with the skills of handling weapons, it is planned, on the one hand, to teach students to evaluate international military-political and internal events and facts from the perspective of the patriot of their Fatherland, and on the other hand, it is supposed to supplement this skills to arrange worldview accents in the context of the history of Russia and Russian statehood.
I repeat, this is fine, and the youth should know that, as the president said, our country has repeatedly passed through serious trials: the Pechenegs tormented it, and the Polovtsy, and Russia coped with everything. But I am a little afraid that limited only to the history of Russia, we become in some respects very vulnerable to demagogy of our enemies. Of course, we understand that Ukrainians are the same Russians, only in places somewhat sustained and petrified, but in other states they believe that Ukrainians are a separate people. They believe that Vladimir Svyatoslavovich is the Kiev prince, and during the struggle with the Polovtsy and Pechenegs there was no Russia.
In this regard, I believe, it is important to give patriotic education through history in a wider context, including cultural and spiritual aspects. Which would go beyond, with permission to say, discussions whose state was Kievan Rus and whether Prince Vladimir was a Russian or Ukrainian. No one will deny the connection of the Russian state and Byzantium. Moscow is the third Rome, and the fourth is not known. Constantinople, from where Christianity came to Rus', the center of Orthodoxy, is the second Rome. For all, inextricable spiritual and cultural ties between Russia and Rome the second are obvious in the first place, but through it - and with the first. With the Great Roman Empire. Therefore, it would be worth it to include in the historical course for students and the history of Byzantium and the history of Rome.
This would allow a number of additional examples and guidelines for our youth, to find simple and understandable analogies to modern events in the glorious history of the Roman Empire. Exactly three years ago, I wrote in my beloved newspaper, which, finally, I realized what great figure of the past I can likened to Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin - Blessed Justinian to the Great, Byzantine emperor who ruled in the VI century AD. Justinian the Great set himself the greatest task: the restoration of the Roman Empire in all its brilliance and greatness. He entered into a difficult struggle with the Western barbarians, who shared the legacy of the Western Roman Empire, and was able to teach them a lesson.
Analogies are obvious! But only for those who know history. And there are, alas, very few. Therefore, the discussed courses for students are urgently necessary - only the history of the last Rome must be supplemented by the history of the first two.
