It makes sense to read the entire interview:
— You got a lot of trouble from Putin in September precisely for the lack of salary increases for teaching staff in the draft budget. Is this problem resolved?
“To date, the budget for 2013-2015 has included money sufficient to seriously increase the salaries of teachers in our higher educational institutions. I think that the problem has been solved, but a lot depends on the leaders of our universities. We have a very heterogeneous situation here too. I have already given an example that in Moscow we have universities where the average salary of teachers is from 20 to 30 thousand rubles, which outrages me. This, of course, should not be the case. And there are universities that are in the same economic conditions, train in similar areas, receive approximately the same state money, and have salaries of 50 and 60 thousand. Therefore, the quality of management is very important here.
