Women make up 37% of delegates and 45% of participants in this ecumenical association. It is not surprising: after several Orthodox churches (Bulgarian, Georgian) left the WCC, the weight of Protestants in it is growing, and in some Protestant denominations the female priesthood is already allowed. A delegation of the Russian Orthodox Church arrived at the assembly led by Bishop Hilarion of Vienna and Austria. Among the guests of honor is the Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the MP, Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad.
