Recently, during a meeting of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights under the President of the Russian Federation, lawyer Vladimir Ryakhovsky raised the question of the activities of Alexander Dvorkin as an Expert Council under the Ministry of Justice, reports the SOVA Information and Analytical Center.
According to Ryakhovsky, Dvorkin should not be in this post for a number of reasons:
- his bias caused massive discontent among believers and the expert community;
- he does not have an education recognized in Russia;
- is a US citizen.
Minister of Justice Alexander Konovalov did not see anything dangerous in Dvorkin’s activities. According to him, the activities of the Expert Council under the Ministry of Justice are ineffective, but the council itself chose such a chairman. The minister considered the argument about the insufficient education of the head of the council to be unfounded, because Dvorkin has an academic degree - American PhD.
The Minister of Justice did not answer the remark about Dvorkin’s American citizenship.
