Many people are dissatisfied

On October 13 at 11.00 a joint protest action of Russian scientists took place on Pushkinskaya Street in Moscow. It took place in the form of a rally. The task of the organizers is to show the authorities that scientists do not accept the existing policies in the field of organizing and financing science in our country and are able to unite and defend their rights together. Basic requirements: de-bureaucratization of science and an increase in the budget for more effective and transparent methods of financing (in particular, RFBR grants).

The organization of the event was attended by the RAS trade union, an initiative group of young scientists, an initiative group of students, graduate students and employees of Moscow State University, the Council of Young Scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Council of Young Scientists of Moscow State University, the interregional trade union of educators “Teacher” and other associations and organizations.

The action gathered about 500 people.
