Bogomolov will put Handel

On March 15, 2015, the premiere of the oratorio of the Gandel “Triumph of Time and Disappointment” - the first opera production of director Konstantin Bogomolov will be held in Moscow.

As a music critic Alexei Parin said on his Facebook page, the artistic director of the La Vocentale ensemble Dmitry Sinkovsky will be the conductor-winner.

A competition for the performance of roles has already been announced, rehearsals were scheduled for February - early March 2015.

“Triumph of Time and Disappointment” is the first oratorio of George Friedrich Handel, written by him in 1707 in Italy on the libretto of Cardinal Benedetto Pamfili. Subsequently, the composer twice returned to this essay: in 1737, he processed and complemented it, changing the name to the Triumph of Time and Truth, and in 1757 the Triumph served as the basis for Ievfay, the last oratorio of Handel.

The most famous aria from the Triumph of Time and Disappointment - Lascia La Spina - was included in his opera in 1711 Rinaldo.
