Gay Pride in St. Petersburg

May 29 in St. Petersburg on the Field of Mars will host a gay pride - an action for the equality of LGBT. Start at 14:30.

The action for 200 participants was approved by the authorities at the site, located 50 meters from the house number 3 and 25 meters from the memorial to the "Fighters of the Revolution".

Earlier, activists of the Ravnopravie organization were denied permission to coordinate the routes of the march and rally as part of the fourth St. Petersburg LGBT Pride. Instead of Vasilyevsky Island or Senate Square, the authorities proposed holding a gay pride in the village of Novoselki, Vyborgsky District, on the border with the Leningrad Region. The action was also not agreed in that part of the Champ de Mars, which is not Hyde Park, where a pillow fight will take place at that time.
