For honesty and directness

The losers of the elections have no reason to mourn, and the winners have nothing to rejoice. Although they are, of course, very happy. This joy to me, a professional fan, reminds me of the sincere joy of a football team that first bought a referee, then paid the opponents to be sure, scored one goal from a fake penalty, another from an offside position, and then danced in delight after the final whistle. I could never understand why these people are so happy?

United Russia received two-thirds of the votes, although in reality much less voted for it - this is obvious. It is also, however, obvious that the majority voted for her anyway, compared to all the others, a significant majority. So what?!

Let us remember that in the last elections of the era of stagnation, under Chernenko, 99% of voters came to the “voting” (and the elections were then called voting, just as many now call them “referendum”) and 99% of them voted for the “unbreakable bloc of communists” and non-partisans." The children who were born that year did not even have time to go to school, and the “bloc” was no longer there, just as the CPSU and the Soviet Union itself were no more. By the way, about the same number voted for preserving the USSR in the all-Union referendum as voted for “United Russia” today, which did not prevent the same people six months later from advocating for the independence of their territories at republican referendums.

In the first real elections to the Supreme Soviet, Yeltsin received in Moscow, if I’m not mistaken, 89% or something like that. His opponent Brakov collected a “statistical error.” Seven years later, Boris Nikolaich had a rating of around 10% before the elections and only thanks to general brainwashing he somehow beat Zyuganov in the second round. And since we are talking about the Duma elections, let us remember that the LDPR won the very first with a quarter of the votes.

I recall all this in order to emphasize that in all these cases, en masse the same people voted. And no matter what the authorities said, no percentages ever served as evidence of support, and the electorate did not become the support of the authorities. Because the vast majority of citizens “vote with their hearts.” They do not choose platforms that simply do not exist, just as there is no famous Putin Plan. They choose not an ideology, which the parties also do not have. They choose what they are told on TV; they vote on the advice of their friends; for the company; by order of superiors; because “everyone votes like that”; because it’s more profitable, they join the majority, because being with the majority is psychologically more comfortable; because through the efforts of the same television, the idea is driven into their heads that there are no other worthy people in the country except the Main One, and no other parties except the One and Only.

In general, there are many reasons why citizens vote en masse for one thing or for one person. Added to them are those who are forced to vote this way, because, it turns out, there are a lot of ways to make secret, free voting explicit and forced. And, finally, there are millions of votes that actually do not exist in nature - those that were thrown in and attributed in different ways, it is not for nothing that half the country on election day suddenly, suddenly, took off and went to travel with absentee ballots.

So, how does the government benefit from these figures? The heart of the voter is prone to change. Those who vote for Putin in droves today will curse him in the same way tomorrow if another person appears in the Kremlin who, according to tradition, crucifies his predecessor (have there been any exceptions in our modern history?). 70 years ago, our citizens were not embarrassed that the heroes of the Civil War, the old Bolsheviks and Lenin’s comrades-in-arms, turned out to be spies and saboteurs. They won’t be embarrassed today if it turns out that Putin is also an “enemy.”

Those who were forced to vote this way today will not forget the humiliation. Their “love” for “United Russia” is as strong as the love of Soviet citizens for the CPSU was strong. It’s just that for the time being this “feeling” lies dormant in the depths of the soul. Well, “dead souls” certainly will not come to the aid of the authorities in difficult times. So, at the slightest stir, the careerists will scatter, the swamp will shift, “the dead have no shame” - and so you will, as Luzhkov said on election night, “elections to the state Dulya.”

Then what are these elections for? For “legitimization”? To keep up appearances and convince the world community? Show me at least someone in this community, other than observers from the CIS, who considers our elections fair. To convince the people that they love power? But our people already agree to everything. Abroad, we may not be ashamed for a long time, but at home we spend some unimaginable efforts and countless millions, organizing interest inflation, when everything can be solved simply, and most importantly, honestly!

I advocate the complete abolition of elections. More precisely, for holding the last and final vote. At this vote, we will have to extend Putin's powers indefinitely and leave the One and Only Party in existence. We fully support Putin’s Plan, we recognize that only his tenure as president ensures that we maintain the course and prosperity of the country, and his departure from power will inevitably lead to chaos.

And let them continue to rule as long as they want. It will not be democracy, it will not be freedom, it will not be civilized, but it will be honest and straightforward. We will know our fate for years to come, we will take it for granted that our life is such that it is arranged like this. And the authorities will be freed from the need to engage in nonsense, imitation, manipulation, focusing on their direct business - governing us.

As long as oil prices are high, nothing threatens this idyll. Putin is a strong man (God bless him). We have a chance to live in complete harmony and peace for another 25 years, without annoying each other with meaningless procedures like so-called elections.
