Firstly, I want to congratulate all the readers of my favorite newspaper on the last holiday of spring and labor. The holiday passed, the trade union columns passed along Red Square, but spring continues, and a continuous holiday of labor for the good of the homeland continues. Which, of course, gives us a reason for optimism, as well as an occasion for raising glasses and glasses. Moreover, on the nose and another holiday - Victory Day - with whom I also want to congratulate all colleagues and readers!

In general, the beginning of May is a joyful time for Russians and a difficult time for their liver. Why the thoughts are not always the brightest and optimistic, especially in the morning. In any case, often on such days early, sometimes state sorrow is overcome, sadness about the problems of our country, which still have in some places sometimes.

For example, the government has not yet approved the charter of the Russian Academy of Sciences. What is the matter is not officially clear. But Dmitry Viktorovich Livanov in his interview indicated a number of shortcomings that the charter developed by academics contains. In particular, he said that the Academy wants to engage in ritual services and in the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences this issue is considered very important.

To be honest, this position of the minister is somewhat surprised to me. As far as I am always inclined to support the wise and fair position of the party and government, but in this case I still cannot hide some surprise. Perhaps the whole thing is exclusively in the shaken health of my liver, but still.

After all, it must be understood that academics are not the youngest and healthy people. Some of them, frankly, are almost one foot in the grave. In general, it is reasonable to expect that from time to time one or the other academician will go to a better world. But people are not simple, but more and more well-deserved, prominent scientists. Therefore, they should be accompanied with all appropriate honors.

If so, it is quite logical that the wounds should deal with ritual or ceremonial services. And if, in principle, to consider RAS as an organization that provides services, then why should it be limited only to services for the examination of government programs and reports of different universities and scientific organizations there? The wider the range of services will provide wounds, the better it will be for the country and the people! Instead of a closed and closed corporation, the Academy can become a kind of bureau of good services, where everyone can get what they want - from the government to an ordinary citizen of our great country.

Again, a wide range of services rendered would help increase the influx of extrabudgetary financing. Take the same ritual services - is it necessary to provide them only to members of the Russian Academy of Sciences? Of course not! All the experience of conducting worthy and venerable funerals can be at the disposal of the widest layers of the public, unless, of course, she has money.

Think for yourself: a beautiful mansion in Leninsky, 14, the opportunity to choose according to the price list of a solid science figure who will say decent words about the deceased. If you do not really have money, you can order a member of the score, if not so constrained in funds, then a complete academician. Well, for those who do not have diamonds in stone caves, you can provide for VIP services: ordering a performance by the Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences or even the President himself. You can even with a trip to the cemetery and participation in the commemoration - any whim for your money!

There are wedding generals, why not be funeral academics? Is it allowed to allow military work? I think the service will be quite in demand and can bring a serious income of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

So, I think, in a crisis and stagnation, the government should not put sticks in the wheels of the academy, but you need to quickly approve the charter of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Dmitry Viktorovich should not cling to formalities. After all, the ministry still has so much work: to modify the USE, to integrate the Crimean education system into Russia, to dismiss rector-plagiators. Already to the ritual services of the wounds will cope, there is nothing to worry about.
