Dear editors !
Scientists, teachers, students are traditionally associated with progress and development. Probably, there is a lot of truth in such a vision, but not everything is so clear ...
When I look at the proud profile of the main building of my native university, when I recall the great names associated with him - Lomonosov, Lebedev, Kolmogorov, Sadovnichy, Deripaska and dozens of others - tears are stolen in my eyes. These are tears of pride: I am proud that I work in Moscow State University! But when I read some messages in the media, tears in my eyes. But these are other tears - these are tears of shame. I am ashamed that I am also connected with Moscow State University.
Yes, colleagues, this is the bitter truth. That is how sometimes some teachers behave and, even more often, students of my native university. I just read the message that three students of Moscow State University were detained for damage to an advertising structure dedicated to the World Cup. After the initiation of the criminal case of vandalism, all three were released from the police department.
What did these wraps do? They wrote on the advertising cabinet “No Fan Zone” as part of a protest campaign against the placement of the fan zone of the World Cup at the Complex of University buildings.
Reading this, I experienced burning shame. How long will these loafers and bosoters discredit the high rank of student of Moscow State University in the eyes of the Russian and world community?! For several months this outrageous fuss has been going on with protests against the fan zone on the Sparrow Hills. Activists, so to speak, began to scream ahead of time, that, for the first time in the history of the world championships, one of the largest fan zones will be located on the territory of the university during the educational process, and for the first time in the history of the world's world championships will be located right at the walls of a residential building in which several thousand people live. De Mol, this will interfere with the session and all that. Students wrote appeals, tried to distract from the affairs of Viktor Antonovich himself ...
The scandalists went towards, the deputy prime minister of the government met with them, the fan zone was pushed from the main building of the Moscow State University by 300 meters, they will not transfer the session. But they still do not get enough!
I am ashamed, comrades students! How can you compare the incomparable?! On the one hand, an ordinary test of knowledge in all three three -year -olds and parties. On the other hand, the world festival of football, a holiday that Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin gave to our people! The opportunity to show the world the hospitable and peaceful soul of our country and, you see, achieve a weakening of sanctions. In general, the event of the highest ideological and political significance!
About the fact that, they say, the fans will interfere with the rest of the students, will prevent students from preparing for exams. These fairy tales can be told to reporters who came to their editorial office directly from the remote village, but not to me. I myself was a student, drank in a hostel, and, believe me, no fan zone would have prevented me.
Unfortunately, colleagues, not only representatives of the scientific and educational community from my native university are in the way of progress. Such situations can be found a lot. Take for example the Pulkovo observatory. The handsome-Petersburg is growing, expanding, Petersburgers and guests of the Northern capital want to improve their living conditions. And here you are - the observatory, the protective zone.
Well, what can there be an observatory near a big city, next to the airport? You need to look at the stars somewhere in the attack of the attack or from space. The commission of the Russian Academy of Sciences, headed by the authoritative astronomer, academician Yuri Baleg, recognized the futility of optical observations in the Pulkovo observatory. But some unconscious employees say everything about the ranks of observations lasting decades. And the directors scold for the fact that he dismisses young scientists, does not hire new ones to work. Yes, they hint that all this is for a reason - there is a lot of money behind this.
In general, astronomers want to look at their telescopes, and they do not care that thousands of Russian citizens could buy apartments in new houses. I hope that soon the final decision will be made on the closure of the observatory: the ranks of observations when else and to whom will come in handy, and the country needs the country now. As for the hints of someone’s interest, the paths of progress are sometimes difficult and, as they say, you won’t be allotted-you won’t go.
