The Daily Journal received a copy of the letter to the rector of the State University - Higher School of Economics (SU-HSE) Yaroslav Kuzminov from the Main Department of Internal Affairs for the city of Moscow. The letter, signed by the first deputy head of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate, Major General Alexander Ivanov, states that on December 14, 2008 (that is, during the last “March of Dissent”), “in the central part of the city, the fact of holding a mass event was recorded, which was not agreed upon in the established manner with the executive authorities.” authorities". The said event, the letter says, was attended by six people who introduced themselves as students of the State University-Higher School of Economics.
The major general states that “carrying out unauthorized mass actions is one of the types of extremist activity, has a high degree of public danger and requires adequate response measures from law enforcement agencies.” In this regard, he “asks” Kuzminov to “consider the issue of eliminating the circumstances conducive to the commission of offenses” (conduct educational work, apparently, or not read any harmful courses) and - attention! – “the advisability of further training of these persons.” That is, simply put, the police actually recommend that the university expel unreliable students. Next, Major General Ivanov asks the rector to notify him of the measures taken.
