On November 5 at 19.00 in Moscow, behind the monument to Griboedov (Chistye Prudy metro station), a rally will take place following the results of the so-called parliamentary elections.
The statement from Solidarity, which is organizing the rally, reads, in part:
“Citizens of most of Russian society refuse to trust the existing government, but have different attitudes towards the “elections” to the State Duma, which will end with voting on December 4. Some believe in the ability of “systemic” parties to defeat United Russia, others will support them, considering them a lesser evil and calling for them to vote for anyone except the party of swindlers and thieves. Still others consider the elections illegitimate, do not believe in the very possibility of influencing the authorities within the existing political system, and they intend to spoil the ballots. Still others will boycott the elections, take away and keep absentee ballots, or demand that they be removed from the voter list.
But they will all be outraged and disappointed on December 5, when the preliminary election results become known and it will be clear what result the ruling party recorded by the election commissions under its control.
The Solidarity movement initiated a civil rally on this day under the slogan “ THIS ELECTION IS A FARCE - LET'S GIVE CHOICE BACK TO THE COUNTRY - LET'S GIVE POWER BACK TO THE PEOPLE! " We invite everyone who is not ready to accept the denial of unregistered parties to elections, the use of administrative resources during the election campaign, and falsifications on voting day at polling stations and in election commissions.
We invite representatives of all political views, representatives of registered and unregistered parties and movements, everyone from whom their choice was stolen. On December 5, we need to forget about differences and say our decisive “No” to the farce into which the ruling regime in Russia has turned the elections, demand reform of the political system and new, fair elections.”
