At today's meeting, United Russia voted against the bill on payment of benefits to families for the birth of a second child. The authors proposed paying married spouses who decided to have a second and third child 200 thousand rubles. According to the bill, the source of financing these payments was to be the gold and foreign exchange reserve of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. However, this time too it was decided not to touch the gold and foreign exchange reserves; moreover, the proposed amount of benefits seemed too large to the deputy.
