Every year, the international non-governmental organization Transparency International, which determines the corruption index, conducts research in many countries around the world. According to the rules of the study, the complete absence of corruption in the respondent’s perception is equal to 1, the highest level is indicated by the number “5”. In 2006, religious organizations were named the least corrupt in Russia. While the all-Russian indicator is 4.2, the lowest - 2.2 - of all institutions (government bodies, business structures, civil organizations) was received by religious organizations.
