Fire will write off everything

The famous dacha of the Chairman of the First State Duma Sergei Muromtsev, where Bunin and, in Soviet times, Venedikt Erofeev stayed, burned down on January 3 under suspicious circumstances. On the site of the only residential wooden house in Tsaritsyno, the prefecture of the Southern District of Moscow wants to create a parking lot for cleaning equipment and electric vehicles. Residents were repeatedly threatened. No one was injured in the fire, but several families with children were left homeless and propertyless. Part of the archive from the people’s history museum of Tsaritsyn, created in the house, was also lost, including Erofeev’s autographs and items that belonged to the Muromtsev family.

According to eyewitnesses, the called firefighters behaved extremely strangely: they did not put out the fire, saying that they had received an order not to save the house, since no one needed it. The only one whose belongings the firefighters helped save was the policeman who lived in this house.
