End of the manipulator

Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Vladislav Surkov may lose his post in the near future. This opinion was expressed in a conversation with a columnist for the Daily Journal by one of the political scientists close to the Kremlin: “Vladislav Yuryevich could not hide his direct participation in attacks on Sergei Mironov’s party. The president already knows about this. Most likely, he was betrayed by the governors who initiated the removal of the LIFE Party from the election race in their regions. It is clear that they were not afraid of Mironov, but of powerful Kremlin dignitaries. As soon as they were accused of arbitrariness, regional leaders immediately nodded at Surkov. People around the Speaker of the Federation Council are already celebrating their victory with all their might. Now the word is up to the president.”

It looks like the Mironovites really have something to celebrate. On Monday, the Supreme Court clearly sided with them - the decision of the election commission of the Sverdlovsk region to refuse to register the election list of the LIFE Party was cancelled. However, on the same day, another regional branch of the Russian Orthodox Church lost its registration. This happened in the Jewish Autonomous Region. However, given that both events happened virtually simultaneously, it can be assumed that the Far Easterners simply did not have time to catch the signal and acted according to previously received instructions.

At the Media Forum in Moscow, where the leadership of United Russia teaches journalists from all over the country to correctly understand the current moment, Vladislav Surkov demonstrates complete calm. When asked about the merger of the Party of LIFE with Rodina and the Party of Pensioners, he replied that this was their “independent decision” and that he was “in contact” with all participants in the process. That is, he made it clear that he still has undivided control over the sphere of party building in Russia. In general, in recent days, Vladislav Yuryevich has been zealously trying to convince others that he is an extremely important and influential person. Thus, speaking about the “Orange Revolution,” Surkov boldly took on the role of the main guarantor of stability in our country. The deputy head of the Kremlin Administration said that he would not allow this very “orange revolution”.

The Daily Journal has already written that the scandal surrounding the Party of LIFE is far from just a party showdown. This is an escalation of the war between the two most influential Kremlin clans, each of which defends its own future scenario for the country. Here it is important to understand that we are not talking about different approaches of power groups, for example, to the development of the economy, social sphere, or the formation of civil society. Both clans trade essentially the same goods. Each of them is trying to sell Vladimir Putin on their own model of maintaining power with the least losses for both the president himself and his loved ones. The “siloviki” say that the only way out is a third term, the “liberals” say Dmitry Medvedev. The latter no longer even try to hide the severity of the situation.

On the sidelines of the president’s meeting with Western political scientists, adviser to the head of state Igor Shuvalov spoke directly and unequivocally about the danger of a new oligarchic conspiracy, about the alliance of the “siloviki” with oil magnates. It is clear that the high-ranking Kremlin official had in mind primarily Rosneft, a new round of privatization of which is already being openly discussed. But is it only her? The question of how the generals of Russian business will behave in this situation is not an idle one. And here is a quote from the speech of the important court political scientist Sergei Markov, delivered at the same Media Forum: “Big business is drawn to power, like a dog to a piece of meat. Oligarchic revenge cannot be avoided if business enters into a secret alliance with the security forces who will take over its protection.”

What an amazing similarity of views! And what frankness! Previously, Kremlin officials tried not to wash dirty linen in public. Now, with the frenzy of maniacs, they literally shove the products of their active life activity under everyone’s nose. It’s as if they want to drown us in all this.

In fact, the above means that Russia is entering a period of full-scale political crisis. In this regard, I have a question for the head of state: “Vladimir Vladimirovich, ah! Are you still with us? If yes, then show up somehow, give a sign.” In no way am I calling on the president to take anyone’s side in this conflict. Remove, for example, Surkov or Sechin. But you just need to understand that everything will move on at the speed of a courier train: oligarchs and the same security officials will be divided into two camps, and governors will actively join the game. That is, such a thing will begin that the possible resignation of Vladislav Surkov, if it really takes place, will turn out to be just an insignificant episode in this universal squabble for power. And all this will continue until the citizens of Russia simply kick them all out to hell.
