A few days ago I was supposed to speak at one corporate party - they invited to amuse the venerable audience ... The degree of respect for this audience is most easily presented on a territorial basis: they walked in the Khammer Center.
But - without me.

The day before the event, a cute lady, the organizer of the cultural program, called and gave the “hinges”: as it turned out, the initiative of the invitation came from the middle link of this petty oligarchic structure, and the leading link, hearing my last name, gave a categorical ban on my performance at the party, considering it dangerous for the business.

What kind of business they have, I don't know. I know where he is and when. The circumstances of the place and time in our non -graphic case determine the way of action.
But not only they!
And I suddenly remembered another story - and another person who made a repertoire decision.

It was in 1988. I worked as a plasticist in the theater-studio "Third direction". Brilliant Oleg Kudryashov staged a performance on Galich’s songs - and we were looking for where to show this performance. And the times, as you recall, were intermediate: they no longer planted Galich, but no one has yet canceled the ban on him.

And now - one refusal, the other ... they came to the All -Union Theater Society, whose head was Mikhail Ulyanov in those years. And Ulyanov said: Play!

And we played a performance in the actor’s house.
And it turned out that Galich is already possible. It seems that almost a week after that the first publication of the verses of Alexander Arkadyevich appeared in the press ...

Galich allowed - Mikhail Ulyanov! I would not allow it-it would not have been possible, until someone else would have taken this responsibility (along with this honor).

I do not compare the scale - I am a citizen with many cockroaches, but without megalomania. And I, of course, are not Galich, and the scale of the event is not at all the same, and the nameless millionaire, in a wet pants from fear, a celebrating life in the center of international trade is certainly not Ulyanov ...

But the point is not in the names, but in time - and in people who rest on the watch arrow from one side or the other. Now, after all, it is also intermediate times, only the sinusoid (unlike the end of the eighties) goes down. How deep will she go? I don’t know, but the head of the corporation, which had been tricked out of the blue, certainly distinguished the times of the rise ...

The lady, who gave me the refusal, clearly experienced awkwardness for the decision of the leadership. I asked her to convey to the indicated leadership that when it was lying face down, it should at least know that such a turn of events brought closer.

Because the circumstances of the time are formed from the daily behavior of individuals.
Banality? Of course.

Washing your hands before meals is also trite, but I insist that it is also necessary.
