The gas war is over. The fruit of the nightly solitude of Vladimir Vladimirovich and Yulia Vladimirovna was an agreement signed for 10 years in advance. The formula by which the gas price for Ukraine would be calculated was written before 4 am, but it was written. True, when the Russian prime minister tries to use the notorious formula, it turns out to be 360 ​​dollars per 1000 cubic meters in the first quarter, and when the Ukrainian one is 230-250 this year. However, if we take into account that an IMF mission has arrived in Kyiv, which may refuse Ukraine the next tranche, all these figures look like a theory, far from reality.

Gazprom's losses are real, which everyone somehow forgot about overnight. Meanwhile, it's $1.2 billion. By the way, losses were suffered not only by Gazprom, but also by its European partners, who, after the resumption of transit, will finally be able to calculate everything and send claims to arbitration courts. Moreover, these claims will be directed against Gazprom (there is nothing special to take from Naftogaz - see above, and the relationship between Gazprom and Naftogaz is their business, which European companies are not very interested in). And Gazprom’s trick with force majeure may not work.
