“Greenpeace” against Santa Claus - this willy-nilly attracts attention. If only because Greenpeace is not an Orthodox Church that fights both Santa Claus and Baba Yaga. Greenpeace is a serious organization; it has no time for nonsense. Moreover, she herself really exists, but Santa Claus (take the children away from the screen!) does not. And yet, this is not a hoax, but a real scandal, although environmentalists address the bearded wizard in their letter in an extremely respectful tone.
It must be said that Santa Claus did not evoke any other feelings than the most pleasant ones, while he was simply a kind wizard whom no one had ever seen, but who invariably left gifts under the tree. Then he was loved and revered by everyone. However, then they decided to materialize grandfather, as it were. First, they came up with a “birthplace” for him - Veliky Ustyug - and set up his residence there. There - “to grandfather’s village” - children were encouraged to write letters. There were strong suspicions that all this was started in defiance of NATO's Santa Claus from Lapland. Indeed, why on earth did Ustyug Veliky suddenly appear? Then Moroz got a whole staff of employees, administration, and associates. In general, quite a serious enterprise arose literally out of nowhere.
The romance has diminished, if only for the reason that Grandfather used to be beautiful with his mystery. Children's imagination painted him and his house as incredible, fabulous, super-magical. In reality, this does not happen, so the reviews about the headquarters, although respectful, were restrained - they didn’t really “get into it.”
Then began his pompous arrivals in Moscow with the blocking of roads and squares, dubious joy for children and swearing at adults. Another blow was dealt to the fairy tale: Santa Claus did not appear secretly under the cover of darkness, but in broad daylight, to fanfare, police “quacks” and Luzhkov’s cries of “U-r-r-a-a-a!”
Well, then the immediate reason for the current unpleasant situation with Greenpeace arose. Because Santa Claus has an embassy! That is, the Moscow representative office. Also with headquarters, employees, associates, postal address, cafe-bar-restaurant. And this miracle arose in Kuzminki, or more precisely, in the historical and cultural reserve of Kuzminki-Lublino. This territorial entity has had this status for 6 years. But, as happens with us with estates, reserves and monuments, status is status, and life is life. Either they will build something, then they will cut it down slowly.

From time to time, all sorts of unpleasant stories related to the Kuzminki surfaced. For example, only in relatively recent times, seven illegally installed retail outlets, two cafes, a pier and a ferry were identified on the territory of the recreational complex. The Prosecutor General's Office itself became interested in this, having discovered both the destruction of the historical natural layer and the threat to the water surface.
But Kuzminki is not the most popular place, and therefore if Greenpeace had not complained about Grandfather Frost, the petty dirty tricks would have continued. In the end, two cafes, seven stalls, a pier, etc. - It’s not like pouring cellulose into Baikal. However, on the Kuzmin scale there is also little pleasant. Moreover, the Frost Embassy is a large-scale and capital construction, which is generally prohibited by law in protected areas. There is a Terem there, and a museum of fairy-tale sorcerers, assembly and exhibition halls, and a cafe again. And some kind of “magical forest!” A magical multi-level parking lot, a magical casino, a magical bank with “frozen” accounts begs to be here, and God forbid, all sorts of “scumbags” come into the residence!
Greenpeace does not want to drive Grandfather back to Ustyug or, even worse, to Lapland, they simply ask him to move the Terem and other objects of magical infrastructure to another, less protected place. For the mayor and the mayor's office, hiding behind a beard made of cotton wool, this is an extra expense for a fairy tale, but for a good wizard it will not be difficult. As it is written on the website of the Moscow residence: “Frost hit the ground with a magic staff - so so be it!” And the residence became in Kuzminki. Then why not strike elsewhere?
