The ration, which previously consisted of 70% bread, vegetables and cereals, is to be made less vegetarian, Kommersant reports. Every day, soldiers will be given 250 instead of 200 grams of meat, 150 instead of 100 ml of milk, 10 grams of hard cheese, “necessary for the growth of the military’s body,” and one egg per day will be added to the menu. It is interesting that the Ministry of Defense decided to make these changes not because of ordinary conscripts, but because of contract soldiers, who, as the department hopes, will soon form the backbone of the Russian army.
